Outfit Inspiration: Tan Skirt

This outfit inspiration started with a very similar outfit, but it transformed into something a little different. I decided what I really liked about this outfit was the tan skirt. I decided a chambray shirt would look perfect with this skirt. I would definitely wear simple jewelry with this if I was wearing a turban style headband because you don't want the look to become overwhelming. What do you think?

Peplum

Peplum (it's the style of the top, also comes in all sleeve lengths) is great because it is really flattering on most people and it can go with jeans, dress pants, shorts, and in some cases even skirts. The studs on the Valentino purse and shoes make the outfit really edgy. I had a hard time deciding between nude and black for the shoes and bag because I think both pair really well. What do you think?

I have really been wanting a dress this color. I was at a funeral yesterday and they had out a picture frame of the family. The picture was taken in the 70s, the wife's dress was this color but a long sleeve shift dress. This shade of blue looks absolutely stunning with neutral accesories. I really love the Celine bag and I think it is a must have (with a huge price tag, of course)!

I absolutely LOVE this outfit! The pink jeans with the blue stripes looks very clean and they draw the eye. I would pair this outfit with gold, the Michael Kors watch would look great with it, and make sure your purse has gold hardware rather than silver hardware. Pair a nude shoe, like the Miu Miu ones above, or a brown shoe. The bag you carry could be a brown color, a pink (but be careful!), or even black!

I am really obsessed with loafers! The loafer was originally meant for males, but it has evolved to a fabulous, elegant shoe for women. I really want a leopard pair of loafers(as seen above). Our post 'Urban Escape' features a orange pair of loafers. If you are looking for a good loafer cheaper than these steve madden has some for $100 or less.

I really like all the black and white in this post. Stripes are great and you can never go wrong with them! I am not the biggest fan of Mary Janes but the ones in the left corner are very chic. As mentioned before, I absolutely LOVE white! The white skirt is gorgeous and simple.

oh-so french!

I found this collage on polyvore and I thought it was really cute! I love all the black and white in it. I really like the black miu miu heel! I think it is gorgeous. I really enjoy vintage items except for the fact it can be hard work to actually find something worth buying. I am not particularly fond of the outfit on the left, it is Chanel. The tights are not actually part of the outfit.

Gossip Girl Wedding

I loved Gossip Girl since the beginning! I was so excited when on the show, Blair was going to get married because I knew they would do great with portraying a wedding. Blair wore the most gorgeous Vera Wang dress (although it is not the big one in the center) and it looked great with her long crimped hair. Her hair was so simple yet so elegant. I also like the fact that she has such little jewelry which really makes the tiara pop.

I LOVE stripes! They really draw the eye, yet they are so simple. Jean shorts can be really cute depending what you wear them with. Chunky necklaces are absolutely stunning. They look great on just about anything, especially button ups! Our version of this outfit will be up soon! What do you think?

Neon Yellow

Neon Yellow is a gorgeous color and it is very in style right now! I personally think neon yellow looks best when you only use the color in one item and mix it with neutrals. Neon yellow heels are definitely something to own because they make your outfit so much more fun. They also would look great with a white dress or skirt. What do you think?

I absolutely love this collage, I found it on polyvore. I love all the light colors, the natural look is gorgeous. The Valentino shoes are amazing! I do not normally like pointed toe shoes but the studding and color of these shoes are fantastic. I also really like white and summer is a great time to wear white. White is a very flattering color and it looks good on everyone! Pastels are a great choice for outfits, look very chic, and clean cut. What do you think?

DVF

I absolutely love Diane von Furstenburg! She always has great shapes in her collections. My favorite thing about her is she always puts fantastic colors (as seen above) in her designs. She is an amazing designer and her spring collection was stunning. She has such simple designs, yet so complex making her work outstanding. I have great expectations for DVF and I know she will exceed my standards. What do you think?

I absolutely love scalloping. It is very summery and chic. Chloe has a lot of scalloped items out currently. Over the summer I plan to wear lots of scalloped shorts. Out of all scalloped items, the shorts are my favorite! The scalloping can take plain, simple things and turn them into something amazing. Scalloping is also very in style currently. It is definitely worth investing in a scalloped item. What do you think?
