Loquat and Nectarine Tart with Graham Cracker Crust

Hello and Happy Summer! Sorry we have been M.I.A. for the last week. We have been studying for our Final Exams and taking Final Exams! For our first day off of school we decided to bake a Loquat Tart. Nina has this very bazaar tree in her front yard that has loquat fruit. Loquats are a very acquired taste, and are sort of like a combination of a melon and some sort of citrus. 

The Finished Product: Loquat and Nectarine Tart with Graham Cracker Crust!

Recipe for Graham Cracker Crust

6 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Melted

1 1/2 Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs

1/2 Cup Granulated White Sugar

Crush the graham crackers in the food processor until fine, then add the sugar. Melt the butter in the microwave and then add to the mixture in the food processor and pulse until mixed. Press the mixture into the pan of your choice and cover the bottom and the sides. Set aside. 




Recipe for the Custard: 


Preheat oven to 325
Beat Slightly- 3 eggs
Add and stir well- 1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Fill Pan(s)
Bake For 30-35 minutes


Take out of oven when firm. Let sit an till cool. Cut around edges and flip over. Top with fresh fruit of your choice!!
