Tweed Jackets

It is going to be very hard to write this post without mentioning
Mlle Coco Chanel at least once, so here we go. She was able to make the tweed suite so iconic* that it has been recreated by so many brands... You get the idea. Honestly though, many people think they are matronly and doughty and are only reserved for wives of politicians. However, this fabulous jacket does not deserve such a bad reputation. One of the most effortless outfits you can put together consists of slim jeans,  a white t-shirt, flats and a tweed jacket. We will be posting our version of this outfit very soon. Khaki

Nina is wearing:
Steven Alan Shirt, A.P.C. Skirt, Marc by Marc Jacobs Purse
Tiffany & Co. Bracelet, A.P.C. Wedges, Sephora by OPI Nail Color I'm Wired

Every "style" T.V. show, magazine article, or blog post will tell you how important it is to have a white button up Oxford shirt in your closet. It is one of those pieces you can wear with almost anything. They transfer well day to night. They are super soft (hopefully). And they can be worn during any season. Nina has paired her Oxford with a pleated khaki mini and navy suede wedges to give her a fresh spring look. What do you think?

A Tie Blouse is an essential part of a feminine wardrobe. They look especially good with skirts.

DVF

DVFI absolutely love Diane von Furstenburg! She always has great shapes in her collections. My favorite thing about her is she always puts fantastic colors (as seen above) in her designs. She is an amazing designer and her spring collection was stunning. She has such simple designs, yet so complex making her work outstanding. I have great expectations for DVF and I know she will exceed my standards. What do you think?

Scalloping

I absolutely love scalloping. It is very summery and chic. Chloe has a lot of scalloped items out currently. Over the summer I plan to wear lots of scalloped shorts. Out of all scalloped items, the shorts are my favorite! The scalloping can take plain, simple things and turn them into something amazing. Scalloping is also very in style currently. It is definitely worth investing in a scalloped item. What do you think?

Shireen's Favorites

1. Tiffany Charm Bracelet: This is my favorite bracelet, I have pretty much worn it everyday since the day I got it! The bracelet goes with just about every outfit. I like to add charms to mine that represent things that I do in my life.

2. Equipment Silk Blouse: I love button up shirts! They are my favorite kind of shirts because they can go with any outfit and they are super comfortable. Button up shirts are such a classic, they are definitely worth having.

3. Michael Kors Watch: I love big, sparkly watches. I do not really wear watches to tell the time, I wear them if they match my outfit. I love the yellow gold of this watch and they are very popular now.

4. Marc Jacobs Lace Top: I absolutely love lace!! It is my favorite material. I was obsessed with this shirt since the moment it came out. The white lace over the pink is a great combination.

5. Sperry Top-Siders: These are my go to shoes because they are so comfortable! They match all clothes and they last forever. They are good for all weather conditions.

6. Chanel purse: I absolutely love Chanel purses, although I do not own one myself. What I really like is the shape. A bag is always a great way to add a splash of color to your outfit.

Nina's Beauty Picks

1. Chanel Le Vernis: Like most teenage girls, I am obsessed with nail polish. Chanel always has the greatest colors each season, so last spring I splurged on Orange Fizz. I LOVE corals and salmons, and this is the perfect shade.

2. Dior Crème de Rose Baume: I sort of have an obsession with roses, and this Dior balm perfectly captures the smell and texture desirable in a lip balm. Plus, the packaging is beautiful, which is always great!

3. Mason Pearson Bristle Hair BrushEveryone is always raving about how fabulous Mason Pearson brushes are, and I have to admit they are great. I have very thick hair and this is the only brush that really works for me.

4. Cyndi Bands Elastic Hair Ties: As a mentioned above, I have very thick hair. These hair ties are great for pony tails and stay in tack.

5. Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne: I have grown up loving Jo Malone. Once it was time for me to find my "signature scent" I gravitated to my favorite smell: Roses. It smells clean and fresh not stuffy and nauseating like some rose perfumes do.
